With over 15 years experience in tutoring students of all ages, I love to help individuals or groups move forward with their yarn making goals. My teaching philosophy is student-centric, gentle, and encouraging.

Lessons are tailored for your experience. Tools and spindles can be provided.

Styles to learn. Suspended (drop spindle, Turkish), supported (Russian, French, Tibetan, African Bead, Indian, etc.), semi-supported, and handheld. Happy to help you choose the mode that suits your lifestyle and abilities.

A typical lesson package:

Day 1 (2 hours) approx. $40
Introduction to spindles around the world.
Fiber sources and types.
Spinning singles and hands-on instruction.
Internet Resources for further independent learning.

Day 2 (2 hours) approx. $40
Plying.
Skeining and storage.
Washing and fulling.

Enough To Be Dangerous (2 hrs) approx $40
Condensed list of premium resources.
Spinning demonstration.
30 minutes of hands-on direction.
Basic plying.
And away you go!
